Venue Scouting: Caluey Square & The Tea Room

I woke up tired. Ricky had already traveled down stairs to the couch around 9am. I woke up when he did, but I went back to sleep for what I told myself would only be a few minutes. Instead it was about an hour. I knew if I didn't get up at that very moment, I would end up having a lazy sunday (feel free to watch snl's LAZY SUNDAY for a fun laugh) . Just the night before I was on the computer looking at other venues, and I decided that maybe I should go visit Cauley square. I had been there before and checked out the website but hadn't gone in person to really check things out, that and Ricky hadn't been there so I thought it would be nice for him to go. So as I laid there, debating on what to do, I decided to visit Cauley. I went down stairs and informed Ricky of the plan. He was okay with it as long as we had lunch somewhere. I agreed.

I had called to make an appointment but no one answered. I thought maybe we'd get lucky and see them setting up for a wedding. It was early, and since we couldn't reach anyone we decided to just walk around. It a nice place. Lots of space and lots of lights already set up.

Since we couldn't find any one we decided to have lunch at the Tea Room. We hadn't eaten there before even though I had mentioned to Ricky that I thought about having the Bridal Shower there purely on aesthetics. So that being said we walked in for a quick lunch. There we ran into Brittany, one of the staff members who deals with weddings and bridal showers. We talked a little and she took care of us to boot. Unfortunately we still couldn't really get the full tour since the manager was unavailable. I'll get into detail as soon as I do though.

Here's our food...
