Venue Scouting, Brunch, & Bridal Show

The alarm rang saturday morning only to inform me I had hit the snooze button twice prior. Originally I wanted to sleep in till 9 since my weekdays start at 7am usually (if not earlier). Instead my body must have been too tired to function and decided to wake up at 9:40. I woke Ricky up and he shot out of bed to take out the dogs. I began rushing since I normally like to give myself enough drive time. After all this is Miami. There's traffic for about 20 hours a day. The only time I love driving is around 1am-5am.

Once we were done with our morning routine we headed over to J & R Ranch located off of Krome.

The location was cute. Ricky was having a hard time seeing what I saw. I saw a lot of potential. In my head there's an imaginary pen inserting things like lights, flowers, and tables. So since he had a hard time seing it i decided to actually do it on the ipad. A lot harder considering I was talking to Maria, and he wasn't taking the pictures from the best angles for this, he also forgot a few key areas (Oh well). I will show show you even though its a little embarrassing..not sure why.

This area is perfect for dancing. I love floor and the color of the walls doesn't clash with my color scheme which is great. I love the wood beams because it will make hanging lights easy and great for a chandelier. Theres plenty of space for  tables for the cake and other stations.

Theres a lot of space here too. The angle doesn't do it justice. The area I like for the bride and groom area has a low tree thats are that I would totally love to decorate and I can see out couch and table set up looking lovely there. The area is large enough to fit the amount of people we're inviting with family style tables. I can totally see the bistro lights set up too.

This is the walkthrough the leads from the entrance/dance area to to the ceremony area. I would like to put a runner and probably lights. I also love the seating area (not photographed) where the chairs would be set up for the ceremony and further in the front the GM and BMs or guest can also sit. I would probably use old doors to close off the area so you cant see any of us lining up.

I went a little stylus happy on this one. I envisioned the runner, mason jars most likely hanging from the trees. A wooden arch with floral arrangements at the top etc.  and a table where the officiant would marry us. Maybe rig a hanging mic. This is all a mock up in my head and the possibilities are endless.

Theres also an airconditioned area with concrete floors and wooden beams. That I'm considering for the cocktail hour. As soon as that ends have the dj announce for everyone to go to the dance floor where we would do our grand entrance and first dance. Then head over to the tables for dinner.

These are the stresses that come from planning a Rustic wedding in Miami. Ricky wasn't keen on the place but like I said I think its cute with potential. We haven't ruled it out, but we're still on the quest.

After that we headed over to Sweetness Bake Shop because Ricky loves it there. Its the only place I really ever get sweets. I'm not big on dessert but he is and they also serve brunch now.

What I ate (Sugar Cookie new to the menu, and a Guava cupcake which is pure perfection)

What he ate. I don't remember What it was called but he made it clear it came with bacon.

After Brunch we headed over to coral gables. For the Sun Kissed Bridal Show at the Granada Presbyterian Church. It was Lovely. Some Vendors include Susie Life Events, The Salvage Snob, Villa Woodbine, and the Arthur Murray Dance Company. I went there as a bride and nothing more. Not going to lie, it was strange being the bride.

Afte a very long day it was back to house to take out the dogs. The get ready for a passion party, But thats a tale for a different day. :)
